Long-Lasting Structures Strengthened from the Foundation in Denizli Organized Industrial Zone
In the foundation waterproofing of the textile production facility located in the Denizli Organized Industrial Zone, the high-strength Bonus Membrane Platin was preferred through the collaboration of our dealer and the project’s applicator company, Artı İzolasyon. Within the scope of the project, 10,800 m² of Bonus Membrane Platin PP 300 was selected to effectively protect the structure against water, moisture, and the adverse effects of external environmental factors.
Standing out with its high mechanical strength and long-term performance, Bonus Membrane Platin provides a safe and permanent insulation solution in the foundation area, contributing to the protection of the structural system and the extension of the building’s service life.
Bonus Membrane Platin, which has a wide range of applications including foundations, basement retaining walls, roof terraces, parking areas, bridges, and viaducts, is among the plastomeric type waterproofing membranes produced from APP (atactic polypropylene) modified bitumen. The Platin series, featuring increased reinforcement weight, stands out with its resistance to high tensile stresses while also delivering reliable performance in continental (moderately cold) climate zones.
Foundation waterproofing in production facilities located within organized industrial zones is critically important not only in terms of structural durability but also for production continuity and operational safety. The foundation area is in constant contact with soil, groundwater, and moisture. When the building foundation — the most water-sensitive part of the structure — is not protected with appropriate membrane systems, there is a risk of corrosion in reinforced concrete reinforcement, which may eventually lead to weakening of the load-bearing system.
Properly selected waterproofing membranes control capillary water transfer and hydrostatic water pressure, preventing the formation of dampness, mold, and structural damage in basement levels. Particularly in structures such as factory buildings, which are exposed to high static loads and intense machinery vibrations, foundation sensitivity is higher; therefore, correct waterproofing application is of vital importance for the long-term performance of the structure.
