Bonus Insulation Assurance in the Kent Etiler Urban Transformation Project
In the ongoing Kent Etiler Project, where insulation applications are implemented with a holistic insulation approach, more than 100,000 square meters of Bonus Insulation products have been preferred to date. Within the scope of the project, a total of 8,950 m² of Stone Wool Gold Plus, 4,150 m² of Stone Wool Platin, 90,000 m² of Stone Wool Premium F, 1,555 m² of Stone Wool Premium R, and our XPS Plus products have been used. The project has been carried out in cooperation with our dealer Doğuş İnşaat, aiming to achieve energy efficiency, fire safety, and comfort in buildings through high-performance insulation solutions. In modern construction projects, insulation is one of the most important building components that not only provides energy savings but also extends the lifespan of structures and increases living comfort. Bonus Stone Wool products used in the Kent Etiler Project provide significant advantages in terms of sound insulation and fire safety in addition to high thermal insulation performance. Stone Wool Premium F, especially used in exterior façade systems, contributes to reducing heat loss on façades, lowering heating costs in winter and helping interiors remain cool in summer. As a result, a more balanced indoor temperature is achieved while energy consumption can be significantly reduced.
Stone Wool Gold Plus and Stone Wool Platin products used in the project offer both mechanical strength and long-lasting performance thanks to their high-density structure. Exterior façade systems are exposed over time to wind loads, temperature changes, and environmental effects. Stone wool materials maintain their stable structure under these challenging conditions and increase the durability of façade systems. At the same time, their fibrous structure reduces the transmission of external noise into indoor spaces, creating quieter and more comfortable living environments.
From a fire safety perspective, stone wool products are classified as A1 non-combustible materials. This feature makes a significant contribution to building safety, especially in multi-storey residential projects and large living spaces, by delaying the spread of fire along the façade. Not producing smoke and not igniting during a fire is an important advantage for both structural protection and life safety. XPS Platin and XPS Plus products used in the project stand out particularly in foundations, floors, and areas where thermal bridges may occur, thanks to their high compressive strength and low water absorption rate. XPS products used in structural elements in contact with soil maintain their thermal insulation performance for many years due to their resistance to moisture and water. In this way, structural elements are protected and energy efficiency becomes sustainable.
Bonus Insulation products used in the Kent Etiler Project have provided a holistic insulation solution for buildings by addressing thermal, acoustic, and fire insulation together. The stone wool and XPS products used together in the project contributed to making the buildings energy-efficient, comfortable, and safe. This project is one of the important reference projects demonstrating how crucial the correct insulation material and proper application are for the performance and lifespan of a building. Thanks to Bonus Insulation products, buildings become more durable and longer-lasting.
Insulation is not a one-directional application that only reduces heat loss. It is also a building system that directly affects acoustic comfort, fire safety, and building health. While thermal insulation provides energy savings, sound insulation increases living comfort and fire insulation supports life and property safety. Therefore, insulation in modern buildings should be considered not as a single product but as compatible system solutions working together. In all these aspects, insulation is a holistic solution for buildings to be safe, comfortable, durable, and energy-efficient. The Kent Etiler Project has taken its place as one of the important applications where Bonus Insulation’s high-performance products were preferred.
