Before commencing application, the surface defects of all facades of the building should be determined using a water gauge horizontally and a plumb rule vertically, besides, a rough plastering procedure should be applied to eliminate the curves on surfaces. The surface on which the application will be made should be dry and the rough plaster should not have resulted in dust emission. In new constructions, processes such as plastering and painting on the interior walls should be completed and exterior walls must be completely dry and free of moisture. During the application, the system should be protected from direct sunshine, rain and wind by using a special canopy.
Sub-basement Profile Installation
The level from which heat insulation will start should be marked and this level should be moved by means of a water gauge on the exterior of the building. Sub-basement profiles suitable for insulation thickness are fixed to the wall with mounting screws.
Adhesion of Stone Wool Plates
The plates are adhered by applying the adhesion mortar prepared to the plates using two different methods depending on the smoothness of the facade. If there are surface defects of up to 2 cm on the facade, the plates are adhered by the grouping method; if there are no vertical and horizontal defects at all on the surface, plates are adhered by the chiseling method.
Plugging of the Heat Insulation Plates
Plugging process is started at least 24 hours after the adhesion of stone wool plates. Steel nail plugs are used for stone wool insulation plates.
Application of Auxiliary Profiles
Auxiliary profiles such as corner profile, windowsill extension profile and joint profile are applied as necessary.
Application of Plaster Mortar
Plaster application is started 24 hours after the plugging of stone wool plates. The plaster is applied to the whole facade using a comb-trowel; the synthetic glass-fiber mesh is buried in the mortar by being pressed down and stretched while the mortar is still wet.
Decorative Finishing Coating
Coating should be applied over the dried plaster to cover the whole surface of the facade in order to remove the dust from the surface and to increase retention.
